Ingredients
- 2 lbs stew meat
- 2 Tbsp shortening or oil
- 4 cups water
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Garlic salt to taste
- *1 medium onion
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 6 carrots
- 3 potatoes
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 3/4 cup water
*Can substitute onion with onion powder

- Deep electric skillet or sauce pan
- Small bowl
Instructions
- Brown meat in shortening or oil, salt, pepper, and garlic salt.
- Add water, Worcestershire sauce, onion, and sugar. Simmer for 2 hours.
- While the meat is simmering, peel and cut potatoes and carrots. Add carrots and potatoes after 2 hours and cook until done.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour and water until there are no lumps. Pour mixture into the stew pan and simmer until the sauce thickens.
