Fudge Frosting

Ingredients

  • 10 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder, sifted
  • 5 1/4 cups powderd sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Tools

  • 1/4 cup
  • 1 cup
  • 1 tsp
  • Stand mixer with whisk attachment
  • Saucepan

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Mix in cocoa powder to create a paste.
  2. Move the chocolate paste to a stand bowl and turn the mixer on to low speed. Slowly add in powdered sugar and milk, alternating between the two. Add vanilla and mix.
  3. Turn the mixer to medium speed and mix for 5 minutes. The frosting should be smooth and creamy.
  4. Use immediately or store in the fridge.
