Ingredients
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Cream together shortening, butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add in eggs and vanilla and cream again.
- Add salt, baking soda, and flour. Mix until combined.
- Then add chocolate chips and combine.
- Roll dough into balls and place on greased pan. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown.
