This makes delicious homemade pizza! The dough is very yummy.
Prep Time
- 20 minutes to prep
- 1 ½ hours to rise
- 12–20 minutes to cook
Ingredients
- 3 ½ to 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 envelope active dry yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 ½ cups water at 110°
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp olive oil
Tools
- Mixer
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Pizza pan
Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in the bowl (I use a Kitchen Aid). Slowly add the water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Beat the mixture until the dough forms a ball. If the dough is sticky, add flour until the dough forms a solid ball.
- Lightly flour a flaw surface. Gently knead the dough until it is smooth and firm.
- Use the remaining 2 teaspoons of olive oil to grease a large bowl and Saran wrap. Add the dough to bowl and cover with the Saran wrap. Let sit in a warm area for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the oven to 400°.
- Divide the dough into 2 equal pieces. Let each piece rest for 10 minutes. Lightly flour a flat surface and roll out until thin. Add desired toppings.
- Bake for 12 minutes. Reduce the heat to 375° and spin the pizza to bake evenly front and back. Bake for 1–2 minute increments and remove when golden brown.
